Senior Reinsurance Underwriter

Responsibilities

• Lead the underwriting process for treaty submissions, including marine, energy, terrorism, and aviation, while ensuring adherence to guidelines.
• Determine reinsurance coverage, terms, conditions, and pricing through thorough risk analysis and financial modeling.
• Grow the reinsurance book of business by supporting annual planning and focusing on property and casualty treaties.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with ceding companies to establish mutually beneficial agreements.
• Conduct due diligence on cedent underwriting practices and review reinsurance proposals for accuracy.
• Partner with accounting teams to manage financial reporting and work with claims teams to facilitate settlements.
• Maintain organized records of underwriting decisions, policy issuances, and client communications.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitive offerings, and industry benchmarks.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in Reinsurance Underwriting.
• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate professional work experience.
