Senior Regulatory Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end regulatory view for a dedicated domain from requirement intake through validation testing
• Serve as the regulatory subject-matter expert for assigned domains providing guidance to engineering and homologation stakeholders
• Collaborate with software and systems engineering teams to integrate regulatory requirements into the design process
• Author and maintain Homologation Design Validation Plans (DVPs)
• Oversee regulation-to-code traceability and compliance documentation
• Manage change impact by assessing regulatory consequences of software design changes
• Contribute to team-wide initiatives to improve homologation delivery scalability

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive product certification, product safety, or homologation
• Subject-matter expertise in domains such as ADAS, Safety, Lighting, or Connectivity
• Familiarity with EU type approval (WVTA) or US self-certification procedures
• Proficiency in requirements management tools like Jama, Codebeamer, or Flow
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with systems or ECU development
• Experience with software-defined vehicles or OTA release processes (UN-R 156)
• Experience designing and executing regulatory validation test campaigns (DVP/DVP&R)
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting such as Python or CAPL
