Senior Regulatory Counsel

Responsibilities

• Advise on global platform laws and regulations, specifically focusing on the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Online Safety Act
• Build and maintain relationships with regulators and other key regulatory stakeholders
• Manage Requests for Information and support regulatory investigations by coordinating with internal teams and outside counsel
• Analyze and advise on legal requirements for new products, services, and emerging technologies
• Partner with Policy and Communications teams on legislative consultations and communication strategies
• Develop global regulatory compliance and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with business colleagues
• Conduct training sessions for engineers and cross-functional teams regarding regulatory requirements

Requirements

• UK or EU legal qualification (or foreign equivalent)
• 8+ years of experience practicing law
• In-house experience counseling clients on safety, privacy, technology, or platform-related matters
• Deep understanding of the European digital regulatory landscape and privacy law
• Subject matter expertise in the Digital Services Act (DSA) and Online Safety Act
• Strong ability to explain complex legal issues to engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building positive relationships with regulators to achieve business goals and minimize risk
• Experience advising on U.S. and international platform and privacy laws
• Strong understanding of artificial intelligence and its associated legal challenges and opportunities
