We’re pursuing this goal by developing fundamentally new approaches to brain-computer interfaces that interact with the brain at high bandwidth, integrate with advanced AI, and are ultimately safe and accessible for anyone to use.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting for research and scientific roles across bioengineering, neuro, ML, engineering, and adjacent technical areas
- Partner with hiring managers to define role scope, criteria, interview plans, and evaluation rubrics
- Build targeted sourcing strategies for passive candidates across companies, labs, universities, and research networks
- Create and maintain talent maps for priority domains
- Screen candidates for motivation, trajectory, technical relevance, and mission fit
- Drive a structured and high-signal hiring process, including coordination and closing strategies
- Represent Merge’s mission to candidates considering academia, large labs, or startups
- Use data to diagnose bottlenecks and improve hiring velocity
- Help build recruiting infrastructure including templates, processes, and reporting
Requirements
- Experience owning multiple challenging pipelines end-to-end for technical, scientific, or research roles
- Track record of sourcing and closing passive candidates in competitive markets
- Strong hiring manager partnership and ability to clarify ambiguous needs
- Expertise in at least one relevant scientific or technical domain
- Excellent communication skills for engaging senior and highly sought-after candidates
- Strong process discipline and data-informed prioritization
- High integrity and sound judgment
