Senior Real World Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support advanced secondary analyses of data from EMR, claims, and primary observational data to support Therapeutic Area RWE strategies.
• Work in a rapid analytics environment to ideate and implement impactful analyses alongside key stakeholders.
• Provide technical input and direction regarding study design, data partner selection, and best practices in RWE data utilization.
• Monitor work performed by contract personnel and external vendors.
• Maintain insight into the capabilities of external RWE partners, particularly in US and emerging markets.
• Demonstrate best practices in Real World Data Science across multiple domains and stakeholder groups.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, or a consulting environment.
• Ability to work in an office-based environment and engage in collaborative problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on coding experience with proficiency in SQL and at least one of R or Python.
• Practical experience working with EMR, disease registries, and/or insurance claims databases.
• Knowledge of clinical data standards, medical terminologies, and controlled vocabularies (ICD9/10, SNOMED).
• Proven track record in supporting pharmacoepidemiology studies using statistics, machine learning, or data science.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary data science projects and build long-term stakeholder relationships.
