About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys in all phases of real estate transactions, including due diligence review and document preparation.
  • Review and analyze title documentation, surveys, and zoning reports.
  • Prepare title objection letters, seller response letters, and diligence review summaries.
  • Coordinate directly with title companies to negotiate policy coverage and manage closing logistics.
  • Prepare mortgage assignment/termination documents and ancillary loan or conveyance documents.
  • Review lease documentation and prepare lease abstracts.
  • Order and review UCC, bankruptcy, and litigation searches.
  • Perform residential real property, condominium, and cooperative closings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Superior analytical and reasoning abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a multi-office team, and handle multiple tight deadlines.
