Senior R&D Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural definition of networked EW systems, decomposing mission requirements into hardware, software, and firmware specifications
• Utilize modern requirements management tools to capture, trace, and maintain system requirements
• Author and maintain critical engineering artifacts including System Design Descriptions (SDD), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Test Plans
• Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to model system behaviors and data flows
• Oversee system integration strategies and lead hands-on integration events involving RF hardware and network emulators
• Serve as a technical bridge between RF, FPGA, Software, and Mechanical engineering teams
• Develop simulation models in MATLAB or Python to predict system performance

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in systems engineering for complex hardware/software systems
• Experience in Electronic Warfare (EA/ES/EP), SIGINT, Tactical Radios, or Radar Systems
• Proficiency with requirements tools such as Cameo, IBM DOORS, Jama Connect, or Sparx Enterprise Architect
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 12 months
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science in a related technical field
• Understanding of distributed EW concepts like TDOA/FDOA geolocation or coherent distributed jamming
• Proficiency in SysML and executable system modeling
• Knowledge of RF propagation, link budgets, and modulation techniques
• Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) and tactical data links (Link 16, ATAK)
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or Simulink
