Senior Raw Material Supply Manager

Responsibilities

• Secure and develop raw material supply for the Malå sawmill (approx. 800,000 m³ of softwood logs per year)
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with forest owners, contractors, cooperatives, and trading partners
• Analyze market trends, supply, demand, and pricing to develop effective sourcing strategies
• Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery plans, and manage purchase and framework agreements
• Optimize inventory, flows, and logistics in alignment with production needs
• Ensure compliance with Swedish forestry legislation, environmental regulations, and FSC/PEFC certifications
• Perform administrative follow-up in business and transport systems and monitor KPIs such as purchase prices and delivery precision

Requirements

• Candidate or Master's degree in forestry, economics, or business administration (relevant practical experience can substitute formal education)
• Minimum five years of experience in roundwood procurement, timber trading, or forestry raw material supply in Sweden
• Deep knowledge of the Swedish timber market, assortment, measurement units, and stumpage pricing
• Proficiency in Swedish (fluent) and English
• Experience with business and transport systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel skills
• Valid B-driver's license and willingness to travel frequently within Västerbotten and Norrbotten counties

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GIS systems such as ArcGIS or QGIS
