Senior Radiation Control Technician

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for planning, coordinating, and resource managing in high-hazard environments
• Perform the full range of RCT support activities, including high-hazard radiological work
• Develop and implement Radiological Work Control Packages (RWCPs)
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to other technicians
• Anticipate and resolve technical and operational problems
• Ensure customer requests for radiation protection are fulfilled while maintaining RP-1 priorities
• Perform technical supervision and coordination responsibilities

Requirements

• High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience
• U.S. citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance
• Experience supporting radiological activities and facilities
• Knowledge of radiation protection regulations including 10 CFR 835
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and 24/7 coverage
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and carry 35 lbs
• Ability to wear PPE, including respiratory protection
