Senior Radiation Control Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of RCT support activities and serve as primary point of contact for planning and resource coordination
• Act as authorized subject matter expert for the development of radiological work control packages (RWCPs)
• Ensure radiological controls are correctly applied for high-hazard radiological work
• Coordinate work area resources to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Fulfill customer radiation protection requests while following established RP-1 priorities
• Resolve operational problems and escalate issues when necessary
• Lift and carry radiation protection instruments and wear personal protective equipment, including respiratory protection

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 4+ years of relevant experience in supporting radiological activities and facilities
• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government-issued clearance
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and carry 35 pounds
• Ability to work in demanding environments, including outdoors and on rotating shifts/weekends
