About the role

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, simulation, and prototyping of advanced radar signal processing and control algorithms for FMCW and pulsed radar systems.
  • Develop MATLAB/Python simulations to design, test, and evaluate algorithms for radar performance, clutter suppression, and interference mitigation.
  • Analyze radar data to characterize performance, identify failure modes, and derive insights for system-level improvements.
  • Collaborate with Electromagnetics, Electrical Engineering, Software, and Data teams to ensure algorithms align with hardware and environmental constraints.
  • Support the bring-up and verification of next-generation radar hardware and signal processing chains.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical mentorship within the algorithms team.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Math, or a related field with 5+ years of experience (or MS with 4+ years, or PhD with 2+ years).
  • Deep understanding of radar systems, including waveform design, signal processing, and system-level architecture.
  • Strong background in radar signal processing for FMCW and/or pulsed LFM high gain, analog beam-forming systems.
  • Strong proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python for simulation and algorithm prototyping.
  • Practical understanding of electromagnetics, antennas, wave propagation, and classical mechanics.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a problem statement through to an algorithm prototype.
  • Experience working collaboratively across hardware and software disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong mathematical foundation in statistical signal processing, estimation theory, and linear algebra.
  • Experience with multi-sensor/multi-radar coexistence, frequency management, or cognitive radar.
  • Experience with sensor fusion, tracking, or state estimation (e.g., Kalman filtering).
  • Familiarity with object detection and classification using radar data.
  • Experience with embedded systems, real-time signal processing, or RTOS environments.
  • Exposure to IMU/GPS integration or motion compensation techniques.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation including Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
  • Fully-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums.
  • Flexible PTO and 401(k) match.
  • Mental health coverage and various wellness programs.
  • Comprehensive insurance including Life, Disability, and Pet Insurance.
