Senior R&D Manager BIOS Firmware and Validation

Responsibilities

• Lead BIOS/Firmware development and validation teams, driving strategy, technical goals, and milestones
• Oversee firmware engineering projects and system validation teams using internal and external resources
• Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, and budgets for multiple ongoing projects
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure execution, quality excellence, and reliable firmware solutions
• Drive innovation and the integration of new technologies into the firmware development organization
• Mentor engineers and establish strong development plans to support career growth
• Manage limited third-party vendor relationships and resource planning

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of job-related experience
• 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in firmware development
• Proficiency with Agile Methodology and Git (Version Control System)
• Strong background in Embedded Software and Embedded Systems
• Expertise in firmware development, debugging, and operating systems
