Senior Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Act as the commercial lead on long-term partnering frameworks
• Manage pre-contract activities including tender preparation, quantity checking, and subcontractor analysis
• Oversee project delivery by supporting the Operations Manager with contractual processes and valuation advice
• Implement project procurement strategies and negotiate subcontract packages
• Manage main contract administration, including monthly client reporting, valuations, and final accounts
• Handle subcontract management, including interim valuations and payment processing
• Maintain full project profit and loss accountability and manage the CVR process
• Assist in dispute management and the preparation of contractual claims
• Manage people responsibilities including performance reviews and coaching for the team

Requirements

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or a similar commercial related course
• Previous experience in the construction sector
• Commercial contracting and re-measurement skills
• Experience with management accounts and data interrogation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access
• Valid driving licence and CSCS card
• Line management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualification MRICS or MCIOB
