About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the commercial lead on long-term partnering frameworks
- Manage pre-contract activities including tender preparation, quantity checking, and subcontractor analysis
- Oversee project delivery by supporting the Operations Manager with contractual processes and valuation advice
- Implement project procurement strategies and negotiate subcontract packages
- Manage main contract administration, including monthly client reporting, valuations, and final accounts
- Handle subcontract management, including interim valuations and payment processing
- Maintain full project profit and loss accountability and manage the CVR process
- Assist in dispute management and the preparation of contractual claims
- Manage people responsibilities including performance reviews and coaching for the team
Requirements
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or a similar commercial related course
- Previous experience in the construction sector
- Commercial contracting and re-measurement skills
- Experience with management accounts and data interrogation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access
- Valid driving licence and CSCS card
- Line management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional qualification MRICS or MCIOB
