About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the commercial lead on projects to ensure commercial success and adherence to administration procedures
- Negotiate subcontract terms and conditions and manage payments for specialist subcontracts and suppliers
- Coordinate changes and amendments in accordance with NEC 3/4 Option A & C contracts
- Monitor contract performance regarding program, cost, and key issues through site visits and reporting
- Manage budgets by evaluating impact of changes, capturing cost variances, and collating Defined Cost Records
- Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliation, Earned Value Analysis reports, and monthly valuations
- Maintain change registers and provide commercial elements for reporting
Requirements
- Experience in Civil or Infrastructure sectors
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or a similar commercial related course
- Strong commercial awareness with legal and contractual knowledge
- Experience with management accounts and data interrogation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access
- Experience in line management
- Valid driving licence and CSCS card at an appropriate level
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional qualification MRICS or MCIOB
