Senior Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Programme Controls and Quantity Surveying Manager in leading a team of Intermediate Quantity Surveyors
• Oversee day-to-day activities and implementation of cost management processes
• Develop and maintain detailed resourcing plans for cost management delivery
• Report on project performance and address delivery issues with the Programme Director
• Develop cost management strategies, procedures, and policies for the Contracting Entity
• Monitor compliance with cost control standards and manage variations, cashflow forecasting, and liquidated damages
• Oversee financial impact advice for the Risk team and monitor anticipated final costs
• Support responses to contractor claims and ensure optimum value for money in procurement
• Foster relationships with the supply chain, contractors, and consultants
• Provide expertise regarding claims and disputes on construction and consultancy contracts
• Review schedules of rates, Bills of Quantities, and monthly valuations

Requirements

• 15+ years of professional experience
• 3+ years within the aviation or transport infrastructure industry
• Deep understanding of construction contract commercial documents, drawings, and specifications
• Proven experience delivering technically complex and high-value infrastructure projects
• Experience in a consultancy, client, or contractor environment
• Strong knowledge of cost management principles, methods, and standard measurement techniques
• Experience with policy and procedure implementation
