Senior Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of feasibility, preliminary design and final design cost estimates for multidisciplinary railway projects
• Assess on and off site materials, monthly payment certificates and package final accounts
• Monitor anticipated final project costs and make recommendations for monthly payments or final accounts
• Undertake or review measurement of designs and on-site works completed
• Develop the schedule of rates or Bill of Quantities
• Manage a team of Intermediate Quantity Surveyors to ensure effective cost estimation and control

Requirements

• 10 years of experience, with at least 3 years in transport infrastructure focusing on multidisciplinary railway projects
• Degree (C Eng / BEng / BA / BSc) in cost management, quantity surveying, estimating management, or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial documents, drawings, and specifications
• Experience delivering technically complex and high-value infrastructure projects
• Experience in a consultancy, client, or contractor environment
• Knowledge of cost management principles, methods, techniques, and standard methods of measurement
