Senior Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates consistent with available design information
• Analyse documents, drawings, and project plans to identify cost influences
• Evaluate estimates continuously to manage risks and opportunities
• Communicate cost findings to senior management, contractors, and vendors
• Obtain accurate pricing information from databases and suppliers
• Review historical benchmark cost information and identify variances
• Collaborate with MetroLink organisation to align estimates with project goals
• Provide training and mentorship to junior and intermediate estimators
• Prepare and review material take offs from documents and drawings
• Review contract documents to understand scope of work and cost allowances

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cost management and estimation
• 5+ years of experience in civil, rail/transit, airport, or commercial construction projects
• Knowledge of contracting methods like DBB, DB, CMAR, and GPM
• Proficiency with estimating software such as Candy or CostX
• Experience implementing costing and estimating frameworks within a PMO
• Experience in large civil engineering projects (rail, water, or aviation preferred)
• Working knowledge of the NEC form of Contract
