Senior Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-contract activities including tender document reviews, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Oversee post-contract cost management, including project budgets, cost-to-complete forecasts, and monthly financial reporting.
• Conduct detailed measurements from drawings and site progress to prepare interim payment applications.
• Identify variations, prepare variation orders, and evaluate subcontractor claims and change requests.
• Administer contracts to ensure compliance with terms, conditions, and commercial obligations.
• Support procurement by preparing RFQs, evaluating quotations, and finalizing subcontract agreements.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior Quantity Surveying staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a contracting company.
• Proven track record managing QS functions for medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Proficiency in QS software such as CostX, Candy/CCS, or Planswift.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and commercial frameworks.
• Experience working within the UAE or GCC contracting industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as RICS or MRICS.
• Formal training in FIDIC contracts.
