Senior Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Analyze project specifications, proposals, and contracts to assess financial aspects
• Monitor project expenditures and provide financial reports and forecasts
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing information
• Evaluate bid submissions and negotiate contracts to achieve optimal pricing
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and evaluate costs
• Support project managers in identifying cost-saving opportunities and avoiding budget overruns

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles, contracts, and cost estimation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project management software
• Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proven track record of working effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with local construction regulations and practices
