Senior Quantity Surveyor (Estimation)

Responsibilities

• Manage both pre-contract estimation and post-contract commercial functions for construction projects.
• Review tender documents, drawings, and BOQs to identify commercial risks and cost drivers.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and develop BOQs for civil, infrastructure, MEP, or building projects.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and negotiate competitive quotations.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Conduct detailed measurements and prepare interim payment applications for clients.
• Identify variations, prepare variation orders, and evaluate subcontractor claims.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and maintain organized commercial records.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Quantity Surveying and estimation staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a contracting company.
• Proven experience in both pre-contract (estimation) and post-contract (QS) phases.
• Proficiency in estimation and QS software such as Candy/CCS, CostX, or Planswift.
• Strong knowledge of the UAE/GCC contracting industry and construction methodologies.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as RICS, MRICS, or FIDIC training.
