About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports while conducting cost planning and control throughout the project lifecycle
- Review and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and variations to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards
- Manage procurement processes, evaluate supplier bids, and prepare interim and final payment applications
- Monitor project progress, forecast final costs, and identify potential financial risks
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors while mentoring junior team members
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within construction or infrastructure projects
- Must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country
- Must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years
- Ability to obtain BPSS security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- RICS or CIOB professional accreditation
- Experience working within the nuclear or defence sectors
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and strong knowledge of construction contracts
