About the role
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain fair valuation models across various asset classes
- Conduct research to validate and enhance valuation methodologies
- Develop expertise in alternative investment structures and illiquid assets
- Support pricing teams with the valuation of complex securities
- Create validation models for quoted and hard-to-price securities
- Support audits by explaining models and underlying assumptions
- Prepare detailed reports for valuation committees and boards
- Collaborate on various analyses, reviews, and reporting initiatives
- Evaluate third-party vendors and valuation practices
- Engage with stakeholders and participate in client discussions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, or a related field
- 4–7 years of relevant industry experience
- Proficiency in Excel and VBA
- Strong knowledge of financial markets and instruments
- Experience with quantitative techniques and valuation models
- Understanding of derivatives, fixed income, and structured products
- Familiarity with valuation models such as Black-Scholes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree such as an MBA or equivalent
- Professional certifications including CFA, FRM, or CAIA
