About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed technical inspections of incoming materials, airframes, engines, and aircraft components to ensure airworthiness
- Detect and report suspected unapproved parts and identify hidden damage in structures or sub-assemblies
- Physically quarantine non-conforming components and manage the quality quarantine cage
- Conduct in-process inspections for electrical backshops, manufacturing, composites, blades, and paint
- Verify aircraft system wiring harnesses, connectors, and electrical terminations against design drawings
- Perform functional and operational tests on aircraft radios, navigational systems, and flight control systems
- Document all maintenance actions, airworthiness releases, and return-to-service procedures in accordance with FAA regulations
- Create and track quality notes, non-conformity reports, and shelf-life expiration data in SAP
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members regarding inspection processes and documentation
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 years of related Quality Inspection experience on aircraft components, or 8 years of combined experience as a quality inspector and certificated Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT)
- Current and valid FAA Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) License
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Aviation or a related industry
- 8 years of diversified experience specifically on Airbus Helicopters products
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)
- FCC 2nd Class License
- Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Certificate
- Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) status
