Senior Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain automation scripts utilized in CI/CD pipelines for UI, API, and load testing.
• Perform functional, system, and integration tests for new and existing features within dedicated product teams.
• Serve as a liaison between development and testing automation teams to enable rapid product development.
• Conduct root cause analysis, remediation, and prevention for identified software issues.
• Mentor less experienced peers and lead QA training sessions or workshops for internal stakeholders.
• Find, track, and prioritize high-value bugs to drive them toward resolution.
• Improve application stability by ensuring automation testing is scalable and easily invoked.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• 6 years of experience in automation testing, including writing API (REST/SOAP) testing scripts.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Bash, or Python.
• Experience maintaining UI or browser emulation scripts using Selenium, TestNG, or Protractor.
• Experience with load testing software such as JMeter.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration systems like Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild/CodePipeline, or Bamboo.
• Experience using Jira or Workfront for task and bug tracking.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree or PhD in a technical field.
• Hands-on experience with PaaS systems such as Salesforce, Banner, or Workday.
• Ability to write SQL queries in TSQL databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
• Experience working with non-SQL datastores like MongoDB, AWS DynamoDB, or Hadoop.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Exposure to mobile development for Android or iOS.
