Senior Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews, DFMEA, DVP&R, and safety reviews throughout the NPD process
• Define, develop, and execute design verification and validation plans
• Conduct critical analysis of engineering changes (ECNs) to assess quality impact
• Review and approve manufacturing and test documentation
• Participate in design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews
• Serve as the quality voice in cross-functional NPD teams
• Partner with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to establish process controls
• Support suppliers in 8D responses and quality resolution meetings
• Coordinate CAPA activities tied to design or process gaps
• Analyze pre-production build data and test failures to identify risks
• Define and implement quality metrics and acceptance criteria
• Drive continuous improvement of pre-production quality processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of engineering experience in design verification and validation
• Hands-on experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and design reviews
• Understanding of product development lifecycles and change control
• Strong analytical and root-cause analysis skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in consumer goods with high-volume NPD cycles
• Familiarity with supplier quality processes like PPAP
• Exposure to human factors engineering or usability validation
• Ability to travel to manufacturing sites or supplier facilities
