Senior Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical quality authority for assigned products, processes, and suppliers in a high-mix, low-volume aerospace environment.
• Lead RCCA investigations using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5-Why, and Ishikawa/Fishbone.
• Review and provide technical oversight for inspection plans, First Article Inspections (FAI), and conformance strategies.
• Support MRB activity for escalated nonconformances, including risk-based dispositions.
• Manage supplier quality activities, including audits, SCARs, and performance reviews for a global supplier base.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to identify and mitigate quality risks.
• Develop and maintain quality standards, work instructions, and inspection documentation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering.
• 7+ years of specific Quality Engineering experience within the aerospace or manufacturing sectors.
• Proven expertise in RCCA and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Proficiency with GD&T, FAI, and technical drawing interpretation.
• Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as CMM, PCMM, or Romer/FARO arms.
• Ability to work onsite in Cincinnati, Ohio, and travel domestically or internationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
• Certifications such as CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or ISO 9001/AS9100 Lead Auditor.
• Experience with AS9100 standards and aerospace customer quality requirements.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor preferred).
• Experience with APQP, SPC, and advanced quality planning.
