Senior Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a QMS aligned with ISO 9001, including Quality Manuals and procedures
• Lead internal and external audits and interface with UL Compliance Officers
• Manage the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and lead supplier qualification and audits
• Issue and track Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) using 8D methodology
• Design incoming quality control (IQC) processes and inspection checklists for critical components
• Define in-process quality control plans (QCPs) and visual work instructions (VWIs)
• Lead final outgoing inspection and electrical test protocols
• Drive continuous improvement using 8D, Fishbone, and 5-Why root cause analysis
• Monitor and publish quality KPIs such as FPY, scrap rate, and Cost of Quality

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or management in electrical or power manufacturing
• Solid understanding of UL 891/67 compliance or equivalent LV switchgear standards
• Experience managing supplier quality in an international CM environment
• Proficiency in IQC sampling methodology and incoming inspection
• Hands-on experience building PFMEA, control plans, and visual work instructions
• Strong root cause analysis skills (8D, Fishbone, 5-Why, A3)
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with international production teams

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification
• Experience implementing ISO 9001 from an early stage
• Experience using digital quality tools and ERP quality modules
