Senior QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Utilize AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test authoring, generate test data, and triage failures.
• Build and maintain REST API test automation covering positive paths, negative paths, and edge cases.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and tune them for stability and runtime.
• Perform manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing on features where automation is impractical or not yet implemented.
• Investigate and document defects in Jira, performing root cause analysis and partnering with developers on fixes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to release go/no-go decisions.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Software QA, with at least 2 years focused on automated test maintenance.
• Hands-on expertise with Playwright and TypeScript.
• Strong experience in REST API testing and request validation.
• Proven experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Git (branching, pull requests, and code reviews).
• Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants to improve productivity.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum environments and tools like Jira and TestRail.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing SaaS, multi-tenant platforms, or subscription-based products.
• Basic understanding of AI-powered applications and testing LLM-driven features.
• Exposure to performance/load testing (k6, JMeter) or security testing fundamentals.
• Experience with microservices architectures and observability tools.
• Mobile testing or automation experience.
