Senior QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an automated testing strategy from scratch covering frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (FastAPI/Python).
• Build and maintain end-to-end test suites using Playwright or Cypress and write API-level tests using Pytest.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to catch regressions before they reach production.
• Own test coverage across core domain areas including property listings, search, payments (Stripe), and user authentication.
• Define and document QA processes, test plans, bug reporting standards, and release checklists.
• Perform exploratory and manual testing on new features to identify edge cases and failure modes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of QA experience with a strong automation-first mindset.
• Proven experience building automated test frameworks from the ground up.
• Proficiency with Playwright or Cypress for end-to-end testing.
• Proficiency with Pytest or equivalent for backend API testing.
• Ability to read and understand application code in both Python and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration.
• Ability to work independently in an environment without predefined QA processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech, marketplace, or asset transaction-based platforms.
• Familiarity with Stripe payment flows, including webhooks and checkout edge cases.
• Performance testing experience using tools like k6 or Locust.
• Security testing awareness, including OWASP basics and auth boundary testing.
• Experience working in small, early-stage engineering teams.
