About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable test automation frameworks for API and integration tests
- Develop and maintain comprehensive API test suites including REST and GraphQL, contract tests, and schema validation
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams in Agile environments to translate acceptance criteria into automated test cases
- Mentor and coach QA and development teammates on automation best practices and code quality
- Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives by analyzing defect trends and performing root cause analysis
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines to run parallel automated tests across multiple environments
- Lead API performance and reliability testing, including load and soak tests
Requirements
- Expertise in JavaScript and Cypress
- Strong experience in API testing (REST and GraphQL)
- Experience with test automation framework architecture
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration
- Ability to perform load and soak testing
