Senior QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement a reliable and scalable automation framework for a real-world machine learning platform.
• Perform automated tests covering both frontend/UI and backend/API layers, analyze results, and report defects.
• Continuously improve the test automation strategy to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
• Automate tests to ensure functional requirements and performance KPIs are met.
• Mentor and guide other QA engineers on best practices in test automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Develop comprehensive test plans covering business use cases and track bugs through resolution.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience with UI Automation tools such as Selenium and API automation.
• 5+ years of experience working with Python and/or J2EE technology.
• Experience with web application testing involving both frontend and backend validations.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and knowledge of Git workflows (branching, merging, conflict resolution).
• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile testing methodologies.
• Experience working in a fast-paced technology environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience automating test validation via databases using Snowflake, HIVE, or AWS Athena.
• Knowledge and experience with Robot Framework and its libraries using Python.
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of Kafka, Elasticsearch, and SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., Aerospike, Thrift, AWS).
• Familiarity with other automation frameworks like Appium or Cucumber.
• Experience working with container-based solutions.
