Senior QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to understand data flows, business logic, and system architecture.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of Test Strategies and Test Plans, defining scenarios for data, application logic, and cloud components.
• Design, write, and maintain automated test cases to validate data integrity and transformation logic across Oracle and GCP data services.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and End-to-End (E2E) testing with an emphasis on data-driven and API testing.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document defects in JIRA, providing detailed reproduction steps for complex data and cloud architectures.
• Drive adherence to testing standards and promote best practices in data testing, cloud testing, and automation.
• Coordinate testing activities with internal teams, third-party vendors, and business users for UAT support.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing, specifically with complex data-centric projects and backend systems.
• Expertise in Oracle Database testing, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex data validation, comparison, and anomaly detection.
• Strong programming skills in Java for developing scalable test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, and JUnit/TestNG.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services like BigQuery, Dataflow, or Cloud Storage.
• Proven experience with Agile methodologies and the SDLC.
• Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools, specifically JIRA and HP ALM.
• English language proficiency at a B2 Upper Intermediate level or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services industry, specifically within Wealth Management.
• Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Familiarity with additional cloud platforms or related data technologies.
