Senior QA Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coach engineers to take ownership of quality through pair programming and knowledge transfer
• Perform testing across backend services (Java/JUnit/Mockito) and frontend applications (Angular/Playwright)
• Build and evolve automation frameworks across the full test pyramid
• Implement agentic test generation using AI to create and self-heal tests
• Monitor post-release health using tools like Sentry or Grafana
• Drive quality engineering strategies and challenge existing testing architectures
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and developers

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation and quality engineering
• Extensive experience with TypeScript and Playwright
• Solid understanding of testing in a Java environment
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins)
• Demonstrated experience using AI coding tools like Cursor or Claude
• Experience designing AI rules for self-healing or AI-driven test maintenance
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Sentry or Grafana
• Experience testing complex, data-heavy enterprise software
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS experience
• Previous experience driving QA transformations or shifting test ownership to development teams
