Senior Purchaser

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and coach the procurement team while fostering independent working styles
• Act as the primary procurement contact for the SAP implementation project, covering requirements, process design (Purchase-to-Pay), testing, and data migration
• Optimize the internal supply chain for spare parts, including assortment, suppliers, inventory management, and distribution logic
• Define and standardize procurement processes, guidelines, and approval workflows
• Manage supplier selection, evaluation, contract management, and negotiations for strategic product groups
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Fleet, Operations, Legal, and IT
• Drive the use of AI and automation (e.g., n8n workflows) to increase process efficiency
• Establish and monitor procurement KPIs such as savings, delivery reliability, and lead times

Requirements

• Several years of experience in strategic or operational procurement
• Proven experience in team leadership
• Very good German and English language skills
• Practical experience with SAP (e.g., MM / Ariba) or proven experience in ERP system implementation
• Deep understanding of end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay processes
• Experience in supply chain management or spare parts/material supply is a plus
• Strong negotiation skills and entrepreneurial cost awareness
• Structured, analytical working style with proficiency in data and KPIs
• High affinity for AI and automation tools
