About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead on clinical assessments and therapeutic formulations for children and young people
- Develop and evaluate evidence-based intervention programmes
- Provide line management and supervision to regional psychologists
- Collaborate with education and care teams to embed therapeutic practices
- Deliver training, consultation, and reflective practice sessions
- Work closely with families, external agencies, and internal MDTs
- Promote safeguarding and contribute to child protection procedures
- Maintain accurate clinical records
Requirements
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
- Experience in psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention
- Understanding of developmental trauma, neurodiversity, and SEN
- Ability to work collaboratively in MDTs and across settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervision qualification and experience managing staff
- Experience in education systems and challenging environments
- Full UK driving licence
