Senior Propulsion Components Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own development of new or existing products or systems as a technical lead
• Perform conceptual and detailed CAD designs for propulsion system components
• Conduct prototyping and development testing for flight hardware and test rigs
• Review and approve drawings, 3D PMI, reports, and specifications
• Execute systems engineering tasks including requirements gathering and definition
• Manage projects including schedule maintenance, risk identification, and tasking
• Provide technical and professional mentorship to team members

Requirements

• Engineering degree with 5+ years of experience in propulsion development
• Background in fluid system components such as valves and regulators
• Experience with end-to-end development (design, qualification, production, testing)
• Proficiency in mechanical design using NX or equivalent CAD software
• Experience with PLM systems like Teamcenter
• Strong hands-on engineering skills
• Ability to make decisions in high-ambiguity environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Project leadership experience and schedule management
• Test engineering experience (test plans, instrumentation, data analysis)
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation
• Master's or Doctorate degree
