Senior Propulsion Components Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own development of new or existing products or systems as a technical lead
• Perform conceptual and detailed CAD designs for propulsion system components
• Conduct performance calculations and analysis
• Review and approve drawings, 3D PMI, reports, and specifications
• Plan, set up, execute, and analyze test instrumentation and data
• Manage projects including schedules, tasking, and stakeholder communication
• Mentor and coach team members on technical and professional development
• Contribute to engineering process development and documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience (Level I) or 8+ years of experience (Level II) in propulsion system development
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline
• Proficiency in NX CAD or equivalent industry standard software
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management software (Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.)
• Track record of design reviews and approving flight hardware release
• Experience with end-to-end development: requirements, design, qualification, and testing
• Hands-on integration and testing experience, ideally with NI equipment
• Experience with storable propellants (electrical and chemical)
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a relevant engineering field
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and post-processing
• Experience with GD&T and engineering drawings
• Experience using National Instruments data acquisition systems
• Experience troubleshooting flight hardware
