Senior Proposals Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of strategic proposals, statements of qualifications, and interview presentations for major federal government contracts.
• Assist the Director of Business Development with workload prioritization and resource organization for capture and pursuit activities.
• Define proposal structures and organization based on RFP/RFQ instructions to develop responsive writing outlines and templates.
• Write and edit complex content, including project descriptions, personnel qualifications, and management planning measures.
• Collaborate with capture leads, pursuit managers, and technical experts to ensure consistent messaging and high-quality delivery.
• Coordinate proposal schedules and manage data calls to subcontractors.
• Track and communicate RFP/RFQ amendments to the writing team.
• Collect and implement lessons learned to improve team responsiveness and win rates.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of professional proposal writing experience.
• Extensive experience responding to DOD/federal government RFQ/RFPs.
• Proven expertise within the architecture, engineering, or environmental consulting industries.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong design sensibility.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing.
• Experience with Deltek Capture Management.
• Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, and managing teams in a professional setting.
