Senior Proposal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial turbine proposals in response to client Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
• Lead technical negotiations with clients to ensure final documentation accurately reflects all agreed-upon terms
• Oversee the overall technical integration of offers, including supply, logistics, engineering, and QA costs
• Establish supply plans and perform preliminary design of turbine components for proposals
• Prepare RFQ packages for generator or turbine components and site services
• Coordinate with Cost Estimators and Installation Coordinators to optimize all technical aspects of the proposal
• Lead and challenge engineering resources performing turbine design for the proposal
• Conduct technical risk analyses and ensure required actions or exceptions are included in the proposal
• Manage scheduling and progress tracking for the proposal team to ensure timely completion of technical packages

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience in hydroelectricity, energy producing equipment, or related design and manufacturing activities
• Experience in the technical coordination of engineering activities and subcontracting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel occasionally as required
