About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of a single asset or portfolio of commercial, industrial, and/or retail properties
  • Coordinate marketing, operations, and financial activities per client requirements
  • Respond to tenant needs and ensure administrative and building technical staff resolve problems promptly
  • Coordinate tenant move-ins, move-outs, and space walk-throughs
  • Lead daily and long-term activities of the property management team, including hiring and performance reviews
  • Direct, review, and approve vendor invoice payments and accounting activities
  • Prepare and deliver monthly reports, annual operating budgets, and capital budgets
  • Manage lease administration activities and ensure accurate lease setups
  • Implement tenant care programs to maximize retention
  • Oversee procurement, vendor service delivery, and contract compliance
  • Proactively collect rent and manage accounts receivable
  • Perform monthly property inspections and coordinate maintenance or reconditioning
  • Act as the primary contact and Owner Representative for property owners

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of relevant commercial, retail, or industrial property management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Real Estate License required where mandatory by local regulation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Working knowledge of leases, contracts, financial instruments, tax laws, and construction
  • Advanced knowledge of financial terms, budgeting, and ROI analysis
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel daily to assigned properties
  • Ability to work after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPM (Certified Property Manager) designation
  • RPA (Real Property Administrator) designation
  • Experience with Yardi, MRI, or Kardin
