Senior Prompt Engineer

Responsibilities

• Audit and re-architect existing monolithic prompts into modular, maintainable chains
• Lead selection and evaluation of language models to optimize quality and cost
• Own the quality of AI-generated clinical outputs and define validation rubrics
• Evolve evaluation frameworks to improve alignment with clinical ground truth
• Establish systematic output validation, including edge case identification and regression testing
• Collaborate with GenAIOps to ensure prompts are production-ready and versioned
• Stay current on the evolving LLM landscape and prompting techniques
• Mentor future prompt designers and contribute to internal best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in AI/ML, product development, or computational linguistics
• 2+ years of hands-on prompt engineering experience in production LLM systems
• Experience decomposing complex prompts into modular, chained architectures
• Experience designing or improving LLM evaluation frameworks
• Strong familiarity with frontier LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.)
• Proficiency in Python or another scripting language
• Advanced proficiency in English and French
• Must reside in the province of Quebec

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within healthcare, clinical, or life sciences domains
• Experience with self-hosted or open-weight models
