Senior Project Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of land surveying projects, focusing on high-profile and complex assignments
• Supervise and coordinate activities of field and office staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to develop and execute project plans
• Mentor junior survey staff by providing training and technical expertise
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources
• Perform advanced boundary resolution and oversee boundary construction
• Review and sign off on all survey deliverables, including drawings, legal descriptions, and reports
• Identify and address potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies

Requirements

• Licensed Professional Surveyor (LPS) in Kansas and Missouri
• 10+ years of experience as a Licensed Professional Surveyor
• Experience with Leica and/or Trimble equipment
• Extensive experience with ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking
• Experience navigating the Planning Commission process for projects
• Knowledge of managing Project Insurance issues
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and project management skills
• Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with overtime as needed
