Senior Project Officer - WASH Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of WASH systems and infrastructure improvements in church-run healthcare facilities.
• Ensure water, sanitation, hygiene, healthcare waste management, and infection prevention and control (IPC) interventions meet quality standards and national regulations.
• Coordinate and oversee working relationships with local stakeholders, including the CBCP Health Commission and various healthcare centers.
• Support capacity building and technical assistance to ensure project activities are implemented according to established guidelines.
• Oversee project documentation, reporting, and trend analysis to ensure accountability and donor compliance.
• Perform ad-hoc inspections at project sites to ensure adherence to process standards and timely implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Environmental Sciences, Sanitary Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
• 3-5 years of WASH programming experience within an International NGO (I/NGO).
• Proficiency in written English and conversational Filipino.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Post Graduate degree in a relevant field.
• Further education in International Relations, Public Health Management, or Sanitary Engineering.
• Experience specifically improving WASH/IPC systems in healthcare facilities or hospitals.
• Experience in participatory assessment, action planning, and project monitoring/data collection.
• Proficiency in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
