Senior Project Officer for Policy and Advocacy

Responsibilities

• Lead policy and regulatory analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for scaling locally led Nature-based Solutions (NbS) at national and subnational levels.
• Develop policy briefs, position papers, technical notes, and recommendations aligned with national policies such as the NAP and NCCAP.
• Facilitate policy dialogues and multi-stakeholder consultations to support coordination among NbS stakeholders.
• Contribute to donor reports, learning reviews, and project evaluations regarding policy and advocacy outcomes.
• Coordinate and monitor project activities to assist in achieving the objectives of the CRC-NURTURE project.

Requirements

• Master's degree in environmental science, environmental policy, economics, social development, or a related field (a Bachelor's degree with 2 additional years of relevant experience may be considered).
• 2-3 years of professional experience in climate change adaptation, nature-based solutions, or policy advocacy, preferably within an INGO.
• Proficiency in English and Filipino.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time to project locations.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience working on climate change policy and advocacy.
• Proven track record of facilitating multi-stakeholder dialogues and generating policy recommendations.
• Experience analyzing data and contributing to formal evaluation reports.
• Proficiency in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
