About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate pre-award review of grant and contract submissions in adherence to sponsor and University policies
  • Advise principal investigators and departmental administrators regarding University policies and proposal preparation guidelines
  • Act as the official institutional signatory on sponsored research proposal submissions, progress reports, and prior approval requests
  • Facilitate legal review and account setup for grant awards, contracts, subcontracts, and other award instruments
  • Serve as a central resource and single point of contact for issues occurring throughout the lifecycle of a sponsored award
  • Liaise with University central and departmental units regarding compliance, finance, and administrative issues
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving institutional policies and sponsor regulations, specifically NIH and HHS

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience
  • Four years of related experience in grants management or sponsored projects administration
  • Expertise in grants management processes
  • Strong knowledge of NIH and HHS regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, customer-focused grants-management services
  • Experience interacting with faculty and administrative staff to facilitate sponsored-project planning and administration
