Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Plan and secure resources for the project or programme using appropriate tools and techniques
• Lead and manage the project or programme team and delegate tasks
• Identify and manage risks and issues using effective mitigation and contingency strategies
• Ensure the project or programme stays on track, on time, and within budget
• Build and facilitate relationships with project or programme stakeholders
• Monitor and report on progress and outcomes using appropriate metrics
• Evaluate the impact and benefits of the project or programme

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in large scale public health and life sciences projects
• Degree in Project management or Construction Management (preferable)
• NEC accredited Project Manager (preferable)
• Member of a chartered institute such as RICS or willingness to work towards it
• Knowledge of construction industry themes like MMC, Net Zero Carbon, and Digital agenda
• Knowledge of project lifecycle and business case approvals process
• Demonstrable experience in NHS client-facing roles at all levels
• Knowledge of risks and challenges facing public-sector healthcare bodies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on social care or healthcare projects
• Experience in master planning, strategic estate development, and capital project planning
• Detailed experience of NEC contract administration
