Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of construction and workplace projects, ensuring quality, cost, safety, and scheduling objectives are met
• Support the development of junior team members through guidance and technical knowledge sharing
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
• Manage the implementation of the master programme, including materials and long lead items
• Monitor progress and quality through regular updates and collaboration with site teams
• Oversee external consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
• Produce comprehensive project reports capturing updates, risks, and decisions
• Manage the full procurement process for consultants, including drafting scopes and negotiating contracts

Requirements

• Over 5 years of project management experience in a leading role
• Bilingual proficiency in spoken and written Japanese and English
• Thorough understanding of the total project life cycle
• Experience leading project management for medium to large sized construction projects
• Knowledge of construction industry technical matters, procurement routes, and value engineering
• People management experience, including managing project teams and general line management
• Experience managing project financial aspects
• Membership of a recognised professional body
• Business development experience with existing and new clients
