Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a complex Revenue Life Cycle replacement project.
• Manage multiple project workstreams while ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
• Coordinate activities across vendors, consultants, IT teams, and business stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and comprehensive documentation.
• Identify, assess, mitigate, and communicate project risks, issues, and performance metrics.
• Monitor vendor performance and facilitate procurement-related project activities.
• Develop presentations and status reports for executive leadership.
• Ensure compliance with DBHDS and VITA project management standards and governance requirements.

Requirements

• 10 years of project management experience, including SDLC and both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• 10 years of experience leading business and IT teams through technical requirements discovery and documentation.
• Active PMI PMP certification (must be provided with submission).
• 5 years of experience leading large, complex programs with multiple workstreams.
• 5 years of experience managing vendors and implementing vendor-delivered solutions.
• US work authorization (no sponsorship provided).
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity in Richmond, VA, with a preference for at least two onsite days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience leading cloud-hosted SaaS implementation projects.
• 5 years of experience with Data Modernization or Enterprise Data Warehouse initiatives.
• 5 years of experience managing VITA High Category projects or complex procurement (RFI, RFP, RFQ).
• Experience with Financial Management System implementation or replacement.
• Previous successful healthcare project management experience.
