Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex construction project issues, disputes, and disagreements
• Develop, assign, and monitor performance of OARs relative to assigned projects
• Review construction project progress and schedules
• Assess change orders and their impact on the district
• Assist with bid and contract planning
• Assess bid specifications according to District needs
• Monitor construction project database variances regarding scheduling and cost control
• Verify applications for payment and perform fiscal management of multiple projects
• Provide direction over schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, and quality control
• Monitor contract administration for Architects and consultants
• Coordinate program activities with various District departments
• Develop and recommend internal policies and procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 17 years of professional project/construction management experience
• Minimum 5 years managing large programs with single project values exceeding $50 million
• 5 years of experience in educational facility construction, public works, or large commercial projects
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management (or equivalent experience/certification per specified paths)

Preferred Qualifications

• Design Build experience
• Building Information Modeling (BIM) experience
• LEED or CHPS certified project experience
• Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) processes
• Valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect or Professional Engineer
