Senior Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Coordinate substation and transmission projects, managing resource requirements, investment plans, and execution strategies
• Oversee project budgets, O&M, and Capital, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget
• Manage team performance and hold internal members and external contractors accountable for results
• Represent the company in regulatory and public forums, including testifying in regulatory hearings if required
• Lead risk management efforts, including risk definition, cost analysis, and mitigation planning
• Coordinate with engineers, construction managers, consultants, and municipal stakeholders to ensure project compliance with FERC and NERC regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 12 years of relevant experience in the energy industry (or 20+ years of relevant energy industry experience)
• Expertise in scheduling IT tools such as MS Project and/or Primavera
• Proficiency in using and querying SAP
• Strong expertise in risk management and mitigation planning
• Proven experience in contract negotiations, supplier management, and obtaining siting permits
• Advanced skills in MS Excel for data analysis, budgeting, and planning
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present to executive management

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA degree
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Advanced knowledge of quality assurance processes (QMS, EMS, ISO 9000, ISO 14000)
